MELBOURNE’S official pre-season practice match has been confirmed, with the AFL announcing the details for the hit-out.

On Monday, it was confirmed that – for the first time ever – all 18 AFL and AFLW clubs would player the same opposition in men’s and women’s over the same weekend.

Melbourne’s AFL and AFLW sides will both face Carlton on Saturday 13^th of August, with the women’s team traveling to IKON Park for an afternoon hit-out at 3:15pm, before the men’s team prepare for a home battle at the MCG at 7:25pm.

The Demons’ AFLW side last faced the Blues in the final game of season six, with Melbourne holding on to win by one point in a thriller at Casey Fields.
