The students of St Michael's School in Berwick welcomed Melbourne AFL football players Aaron Davey and Matthew Warnock, who visited to speak to the children about their football lives and leadership. The players spoke to the children about their training regimes, how they started in football and what they plan for their futures after football.

Davey and Warnock, although very different individuals offered the same message for the children. "Once you decide what your goal is in life, don't lose sight of it and don't feel discouraged if things don't go exactly to plan, just keep working at it. Be prepared to work hard and never give up."

The children were inspired by the message given by such accomplished athletes and the players answered many questions the curious students asked.
