Clark set to return, Frawley faces test
Mitch Clark is set to play in Saturday’s clash against Geelong Cats at Simonds Stadium, while the club is hopeful James Frawley will return
Clark missed last round against St Kilda due to concussion, which he sustained when he fell head first into the MCG turf, following a marking contest against Western Bulldogs in round four.
The incident was a nasty looking blow, as Clark struggled to move initially. But he soon got to his feet and jogged lightly to the interchange, before he was taken to hospital.
Melbourne opted not to risk Clark, who has booted 10 goals so far from four matches.
The Demons are hopeful All-Australian defender James Frawley will return from a calf injury, which forced him to withdraw from round five.
Frawley, who missed his first match for the season against the Saints, will face a fitness test later in the week.
Former skipper Brad Green will miss one more match with a finger injury.
Big man Stef Martin (hip), goalkicker Liam Jurrah (wrist), midfielder Jordan Gysberts (ankle), defender James Strauss (leg) and first-year Demon Josh Tynan (foot) are all chances to return this week.
The versatile Neville Jetta (ankle) and rookie Michael Evans (back) remain out indefinitely.
Ruckman Max Gawn (knee) is sidelined for the rest of 2012.
