MELBOURNE forward Ben Brown won’t be available for selection in Round 5 after receiving a suspension in the VFL on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old, who has missed the past two AFL games after being ruled out with Health and Safety Protocols on the eve of Round 3, played for the Casey Demons against Williamstown last weekend.

Brown was handed a two-match sanction for an incident during the game, but accepted a one-week ban with an early plea.

As a result, he will miss the Dees’ clash with the Giants, but become eligible for selection the following week when Melbourne meets Richmond in Round 6.
