CLAYTON Oliver has topped the AFLCA voting for Melbourne's Round 3 match against Essendon, polling a game-high 10. 

Oliver was recognised following a Friday night outing of 38 disposals, 18 contested possessions, 15 inside 50s and eight clearances. 

The midfielder's performance pushes him to tied third position in the overall AFLCA leaderboard, with fellow Demon Christian Petracca holding his tied second place. 

Teammate Angus Brayshaw wasn't too far behind with eight votes. Brayshaw amassed a whopping 20 marks throughout the Round 3 game, his defensive work proving crucial in the side's 29-point victory. 

Melbourne's Sam Weideman and Ed Langdon both received four votes apiece, while Essendon's Peter Wright (four votes) was also acknowledged for his four-goal game.
