THE DEMONS will shine a light on breast cancer this weekend when they host Carlton at Casey Fields.
The Round 10 clash, which is the final game of the regular AFLW season, will feature a touch of pink, as the club continue its special partnership with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).
Melbourne will wear pink socks to mark the occasion on Saturday night, recognising the more than 20,000 Australians that are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
A pink guard of honour will take pride of place on the ground as the team runs out, as will a pink banner.
The day will also encourage local sporting clubs to register to host their own PLAY4BCNA Pink Sports Day.
All community clubs can get involved in a variety of ways, from players wearing custom-designed pink playing kits on the field, to purchasing BCNA pink laces, socks or scrunchies, or even hosting a fundraising luncheon.
Registration is simple, online and FREE, with BCNA supplying a free support kit to promote the event.
BCNA works tirelessly to ensure all Australians affected by breast cancer receive the best care, treatment and support, at such a challenging time.
