Dees driving towards 40,000 members
Melbourne’s major partner AHG is set to play a key role in the club’s quest to break through 40,000 members for the first time
AHG is giving away a new car to one lucky member, who simply signs up for the 2014 season. Everyone that joins before round one (by 5pm Friday, March 21) goes into the draw to win a Hyundai i20 from Melbourne City Hyundai and AHG.
It is the first time in Melbourne’s history that the club will have given away a car to a member.
At the moment, the Demons have 24,500 members – almost 3,000 more than the same time last year.
AHG is also supporting the club’s drive to 40,000 members, by branding three refrigerated trailers, which will travel around Victoria this year, promoting Melbourne’s membership target.
AHG’s business includes Rand Refrigerated Transport, Australia’s largest provider of refrigerated transport and storage.
“The size of the Rand fleet allows AHG to extend support for some of the many organisations with which we have partnerships,” said AHG managing director Bronte Howson.
“It’s a business [sponsorship] extension that few companies can offer.
“We’re backing the Demons’ membership drive and the three new refrigerated trailers will be seen on Victorian roads seven days a week.”
The value of these mobile billboards is difficult to calculate, but a large format roadside billboard on a major metropolitan road or highway would normally cost more than $25,000 per month.
