Dear Members,

As we all know, 2021 was a year unlike any other for our football club. With our season running its full course and, due to covid restrictions, our premiership celebrations extending well into December, we didn’t have opportunity to conduct our annual post season Members Footy Forum like in years prior.  

Connecting our members with our football leaders remains a key priority for the club. It’s important that we continue to be open, accessible and insightful regarding our AFL and AFLW programs.

As such, I am delighted to advise that we will be sharing a Members’ Footy Briefing on Wednesday 16^th February. This is the opportunity to hear from the likes of senior coaches Simon Goodwin and  Mick Stinear, GM Football Performance Alan Richardson, Melbourne’s List Manager Tim Lamb and Head of High Performance Selwyn Griffith. The Members’ Footy Briefing will be an online show and premieres on the club’s website at 7pm on Wednesday 16th February.

This is a fantastic opportunity for all members to hear how our AFLW team is progressing and how our AFL team is preparing for another exciting campaign for 2022.

I would like to invite all Melbourne members to please submit questions to our senior football leaders via the link below, which our club leaders will address on the show.

We look forward to sharing our strategic update in this format and we hope to return to a live Members’ Footy Forum again at the end of the 2022 AFL season, when covid restrictions allow.   

It is going to be another exciting year for the Melbourne Football Club. I love that so many Dees supporters feel so proud to belong – let’s keep the momentum going.
