Season Overview:
Jordon came into 2021 looking to make an impact within the senior side, having not yet managed an appearance. The midfielder didn't waste any time in proving himself, after a strong pre-season saw him make his AFL debut in Round 1.
Jordon continued to impress on-field and was rewarded for his efforts, receiving a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination for his performance in Melbourne's Round 8 win over Sydney. The 21-year-old’s outing included a long stat sheet with a career-high 23 disposals, 13 contested possessions, 28 pressure acts and eight tackles.
The midfielder went on to be named in the side for all 25 games, however, was the unused medical sub on multiple occasions. The 22 games in which he did get an opportunity to play, Jordon was consistent in his defence through the midfield, averaging 14.8 pressure acts and producing a career-high 37 pressure acts in Round 8. He finished his career-best season with a spot in the Grand Final side as the medical sub and walked away with a premiership medallion.
