MELBOURNE will head into its week off with a strong list after walking away from its Qualifying Final win with no serious injuries.
Melbourne’s Head of Strength and Conditioning Selwyn Griffith said young Demon Luke Jackson would be fine to return to training, after a dangerous hit to the face on Saturday night saw him lose a front tooth.
“He obviously had an unfortunate incident during the game but he’s fine to progress back into training with the group and will be available for our next final,” Griffith said.
Jayden Hunt, who suffered an ankle injury during Round 21, has returned to running, a positive progression in his rehabilitation program.
Adam Tomlinson, Aaron Nietschke and Marty Hore are also progressing well in their rehabilitation from knee injuries.
