MELBOURNE will receive a huge boost to its side this weekend with Steven May and Tom McDonald looking to return ahead of the final home-and-away round.
May was a late withdrawal from last week’s match against the Crows, but Head Physiotherapist Daniel James said that May was on track to make a return.
“He didn’t recover as well as we’d hoped after the West Coast game,” James said.
“He’s settled really well the last couple of days, so he’ll train tomorrow, and we expect him to be available.”
McDonald, who has missed the last two games due to a back injury, will integrate into training tomorrow, with the hope that he is able to get through the full session successfully and be available for selection.
Jayden Hunt, who suffered an ankle injury in Round 21, is looking to complete an accelerated program after a successful surgery last week, which will hopefully see him return in next three to four weeks.
