Mackin joined the Dees for her first season playing AFLW in 2023, and quickly excelled despite never having kicked a footy before.
The sister of Blaithin, they are the first representative siblings in the Demons’ AFLW program.
As one of the top talents in the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA), Mackin recently took her team of Armagh to a Division 1 League Championship title.
Sadly, while playing Gaelic in Ireland, Mackin sustained an ACL injury on the eve of the AFLW pre-season.
While this rules her out of the 2024 AFLW season, she will remain close to the program through her sister.
