Athletic ruck prospect Will Verrall fills an important need on the Demons list, with club captain and number one ruckman Max Gawn now closer to the end of his career than beginning. At 199cm with a turn of speed, Verrall is focused on his ruck craft but has also spent time up forward during his junior career. Hailing from South Australia after being selected in the 2022 Rookie Draft, Verrall spent his first two seasons at the club playing for the Casey Demons. Verrall began to hit the scoreboard for Casey in 2024, bagging six majors while topping 20 hit-outs on six occasions.
