Henderson arrived at Melbourne on the eve of the 2025 season, signing with the club just 26 days before Round 1 following Shane McAdam’s long-term injury. The 177cm small forward had come agonisingly close to being drafted by the Demons in 2024, with National Recruiting Manager Jason Taylor describing him as a player of simple brilliance who never fumbles. After training with West Coast across the pre-season, Henderson chose the red and blue and reunited with Werribee premiership teammate Aidan Johnson as a locker-mate. Selected to debut in Round 1, he made an immediate impression by kicking a goal with his first kick in league football. Henderson played the opening five games of 2025 and will now look to build on his first season as he prepares for 2026.
