MELBOURNE'S emerging star Tom Scully says new franchise Greater Western Sydney has not made any official approach to him, his family or management, and scoffed at suggestions he will be heading to the new club next year.

Scully, who has been hotly linked to the Giants as their primary target, said he wanted to address the media on Friday for he had "nothing to hide".

Rumours are rife because he is yet to sign a new deal with the Demons but he said his management is having ongoing discussions with the club and that Melbourne fans should have confidence in him.

"The club has a stance we don't comment on contracts and I'm taking that stance as well," Scully said.

"I've got full confidence in the club and my management that I'll work through it in due course.

"My main role is to get out there and play footy every week. I'm a contracted Melbourne player and I'm absolutely loving my time at the club."

Scully said he hoped to be a one-club player. "Absolutely. I’d anticipate that would be the case."
