VFLW: Casey looking to deny Dogs of finals
A great win over Darebin last week confirmed the Demons’ place in the 2021 rebel VFLW finals series. Currently sitting fourth, Casey will play either Essendon or the Southern Saints in week one of the finals.
Before that though, a challenge lies in the Western Bulldogs. The Doggies still have a small chance to make finals and will need to win to do so and also hope that North Melbourne can defeat the Saints.
For the last round of the home and away season, Casey has made six changes to their winning line-up from last week. Coming into the side will be Ally Kirkwood, Laura Jonston, Alyssa Bannan, Emma Humphries, Grace Matser and Casey Sherriff.
Caitlin Conroy, Bridie Winbanks and Winnie Laing have been named emergencies for this week, while Kate Gillespie-Jones, Eliza McNamara and Gabby Colvin have been managed.
The Demons will be looking for nothing less than a win as they will want to take good form into the finals.

VFL: Demons eager to restart the season
Finally, the boys are back in town, and they face a rejuvenated Essendon outfit. While the Bombers are coming off a 51-point defeat to the hands of Box Hill, they are a side not to be underestimated.
After four weeks off, Casey is ready and raring to go, and looking to recapture and continue building on their undefeated season so far.
Along with the football returning, crowds are welcomed back. A limit of 1000 spectators are allowed at venues, so anyone wanting to come and watch will need to get in early with gates open at 10:30 am.
An impressive outfit will run out on Sunday to take on the Bombers. A few names are set to return from injury, including Aaron vandenBerg, Joel Smith, Deakyn Smith and Bailey Laurie, while the Demons will welcome new recruits Daniel Turner and Kye Declase.
Sam Weideman will also return to Casey to find form after a few quiet weeks in the AFL side.
In what is forecast to be a wet and windy day at Casey Fields, the Demons will be eager to continue their strong form.
