MELBOURNE is set to receive a boost in Round 11, with Christian Salem available for selection against the Western Bulldogs.
The Demons’ defender, who has been in career-best form this season, was a late withdrawal last Saturday night due to general soreness.
But after training on Tuesday at Casey Fields, he is in the clear for the top of the table clash at Marvel Stadium.
The news is equally as positive for Aaron vandenBerg, who has overcome a quad injury and will be a likely starter for the Casey Demons in this Sunday’s VFL match at Whitten Oval.
Jack Viney remains two-to-three weeks away with a lingering toe injury, while Bailey Laurie has begun running with the team for the first time since fracturing his eye socket.
The only addition to the injury list this week is Deakyn Smith, who hurt his ankle in a training incident last week.
