Melbourne Football Club has joined forces with CoinJar, Australia’s longest-running cryptocurrency exchange, announcing a new partnership with the Melbourne born start-up on Wednesday.
The 2021 partnership, the first of its kind in the AFL industry, will see CoinJar become the club’s List Management Partner and will see their logo applied across the club’s recruiters and list management staff.
Melbourne CEO Gary Pert said the partnership was an exciting venture between two like-minded companies with a shared passion for innovation.
“CoinJar is operating and excelling at the absolute cutting-edge of digital technology and we’re tremendously excited to welcome them to the Melbourne Football Club family,” said Melbourne CEO Gary Pert.
“We are like-minded organisations who share a strong passion and commitment to innovation, and we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”
CEO of CoinJar Asher Tan said the decision to partner with the Dees was an easy one for the Melbourne born business.
“Both our teams are having breakout years, so the decision was an easy one,” says Asher Tan, CEO of CoinJar.
“CoinJar is thrilled to be joining forces with a champion club that shares our passion, professionalism and innovation mindset – as well as a proud and very vocal fanbase.
“CoinJar’s mission has always been to make it as simple as possible for everyday Australians to invest in the cryptocurrency future. By partnering with a club like the Demons, we’re hoping to take the next step on our journey to becoming as widely known and proudly Australian as the AFL.”
Established in 2013, CoinJar is Australia's longest-running cryptocurrency exchange. With more than half-a-million Australian customers, their services make it easy for users to buy, sell, store and spend Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.
