“Deanna played for Vic Metro this year, which won the Youth Girls championships. She came across from Montmorency and stepped up and played with Melbourne University this year. Right from the first game, she had an impact at VFL level. She’ll play through the midfield and up forward. We think she can be a 10-year player for Melbourne, so we’re just rapt to have her. She took the mark of the season in her very first game, on debut for Melbourne University. She brings a lot of experience and leadership for an 18-year-old.”
