MELBOURNE’S 2021 AFL Women’s Finals campaign will begin on Saturday afternoon when it hosts Fremantle at Casey Fields.
The Demons, who secured a home clash with a come-from-behind win over Brisbane in Round 9, will prepare to face the Dockers in Qualifying Final B, which is set to be played at 1.05pm.
It will be the second time the two teams meet this season, with the previous encounter a mere week ago – the Dees got on top of the Dockers at Fremantle Oval last Sunday.
While Melbourne, having won its last four matches and finishing fourth on the ladder, will take plenty of confidence into finals, there’s a strong chance it will be without captain Daisy Pearce at the helm this weekend.
The skipper is awaiting advice from a knee specialist, with an appearance on Saturday “highly unlikely”.
Melbourne AFLW members will be able to purchase tickets at 2pm AEDT on Wednesday via Ticketmaster, followed by a General Public sale at 3pm AEDT.
Tickets will be $10 each for adults and concession, with children under the age of 18 free.
The match will be broadcast live on the Seven Network, Fox Footy, Kayo and via the AFL Live Official App.
