For the first time in 580 days, Melbourne's AFL side will play in front of fans at the MCG.

Your experience at the game will be very different this year, with capped crowds and new protocols in place at the game.

Ticketing

MCG crowds will be capped at 50% capacity in Round 1, with members receiving first access to tickets.

Your membership card or mobile membership card will not grant you access to the ground, and you will be required to redeem a $0 ticket online via Ticketek using your barcode. This is to support contact tracing requirements.

Members will have received their ticketing redemption info and designated pre-sale time via email, with the pre-sale taking place on Tuesday 16 March.

Following the pre-sale, remaining tickets will go on-sale to the general public on Wednesday 17 March.

There will be no ticket sales at the game, with all fans required to purchase online.

Head to our Member Ticketing Page for more info.

MCG COVID-Safe practices

In addition to different ticketing requirements, the MCG have put in place a number of new practices at the stadium. These include:

  • Separating the ground into five zones. Each zone will have access to toilet facilities, parents rooms, first aid, merchandise, food and beverage outlets (including those with Halal and vegetarian options), mobile charging units, prayer rooms and water refill stations.
  • Service Victoria QR codes at entry, which you will need to check in.
  • Cashless transactions at all food, beverage and merchandise outlets.
  • Hand sanitisers around the stadium.
  • Cloaking facilities will not be available.

While not mandatory at the MCG, fans are also highly encouraged to bring a mask and wear this in congested areas around the ground.
