MELBOURNE’S Round 3 AFLW match against North Melbourne will go ahead on Saturday, albeit with no crowd.
The AFL confirmed the change on Friday afternoon, following the Victorian government’s announcement of a five-day lockdown, with three matches to be affected.
The round’s opener with Geelong and the Western Bulldogs will still welcome attendees on Friday night, in-line with protocols, while interstate matches will remain open to the general public over the weekend.
Returning to Casey Fields for their second home game of the season, the Dees will meet the undefeated Kangaroos for what is set to be a blockbuster.
The match will be shown live in Victoria on 7mate on Saturday night from 7pm. You can also stream the match via womens.afl, the AFLW app and Kayo.
In addition to the coverage, members and supporters can follow Melbourne’s digital channels, including website, social media and app, to keep up with the game day action.
