MELBOURNE has included Tom Scully, Ricky Petterd, Jordan Gysberts and Luke Tapscott in its squad for Saturday’s NAB Challenge clash against Brisbane Lions at Visy Park.

It will be the first of two NAB Challenge matches for Melbourne, after Essendon knocked it out of the NAB Cup qualifying finals.

Aaron Davey, Jack Grimes, Jack Trengove and Clint Bartram have been rested from that loss, while Colin Garland (calf) is injured.

James Frawley (shoulder), Cale Morton (hand), Jordie McKenzie (groin), Robert Campbell (achilles), Michael Newton (hand), Max Gawn (knee), Jack Fitzpatrick (foot) and Troy Davis (thyroid disorder) remain sidelined.

First-year Demons Lucas Cook, Jeremy Howe, Tom McDonald, Daniel Nicholson and Michael Evans have been named.

The match starts at 12pm, starting a big weekend for Melbourne with its family day to be held on Sunday at Luna Park from 9am.
