MELBOURNE has added three players to its squad for Sunday’s clash against North Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.
The Demons have recalled the experienced Jake Melksham, after he served a one-match suspension in the VFL, and youngsters Alex Neal-Bullen and James Harmes, who both starred for Casey last round.
The trio has been named on an extended interchange, along with classy Demon Christian Salem, long-kicking forward Dean Kent, tall Sam Weideman and defender Josh Wagner.
No players have been omitted at this stage, with the final 22 to be announced on Friday evening.
Melksham played in the opening six rounds of the season, before he was dropped for round seven.
He went back to the VFL and starred, but was rubbed out last weekend.
Like Melksham, Neal-Bullen played the first half a dozen matches this year, before being an emergency for the past two rounds. He was outstanding for Casey last round with 35 touches.
Harmes has made four appearances and been an emergency on three other occasions this year. He amassed 41 disposals in the VFL last weekend.
Melbourne is aiming for its fifth win of the season and its first victory over the Kangaroos since round 20, 2006.
The match starts at 3.20pm.
