VICTOR Sports will remain part of the Melbourne family for the next two years, with the sports medical supplier signing a contract extension with the club.
The new deal, which will span over the 2021 and 2022 seasons, will include the support of all the Demons’ sides – AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW – and will see the partnership reach monumental heights.
“We’re very proud of our long-term relationship with Melbourne,” Victor Sports Director Andrew Shenker told Melbourne Media.
“This extension means the Demons become the longest continuous partnership that we have with any AFL club, which is an exciting achievement.
“From grassroots footy to the elite level, this allows us to further showcase the high-quality products that we offer at Victor Sports, and the commitment that we have to all sports here in Australia.”
Melbourne CEO Gary Pert was equally as pleased to have Victor Sports on board again.
“It’s rare in this day and age to have a partner show this amount of support, across a two-decade period,” he told Melbourne Media.
“We truly thank Victor Sports for their years of partnership to date.
“Our medical staff, across the entire club, look forward to continuing to use their top-of-the-range products, into next season and beyond.”
Having first joined forces at the end of the 2000 season, Victor Sports and Melbourne have developed its support of one another through various initiatives over the years.
This will continue into next year, with local league trainers being invited to participate in workshops, to learn efficient strapping techniques and recovery methods from Melbourne trainers.
