ANDREW Jeffrey and his older brother Wes had a day to remember with Melbourne on Friday.
Andrew, 9, and Wes, 12, sadly suffer from a condition called infantile refsum disease.
Andrew’s dream was to spend a day with Melbourne, which came true via the club and the Starlight Foundation.
Andrew, Wes and his family spent the morning at Melbourne’s training session at Gosch’s Paddock.
This involved Andrew being appointed ‘coach for the day’.
Andrew regularly blew the whistle to start and stop training drills, handed out drinks to players and instructed them on what drill was next.
Andrew’s idol is Jack Viney.
Andrew and Wes both challenged Jack to an arm wrestle, which Jack lost both times!
After the session, Andrew and Wes continued to help out the players and coaches, during a session at The Tan.
They even got into some hill sprints with the players.
To top off the day, the family had lunch with the entire playing group.
