MELBOURNE has brought back the pacy Daniel Nicholson for Sunday’s clash against Adelaide Crows at the MCG Adelaide Crows at the MCG.

The Demons have left out rookie Tom Couch.

Defender James Strauss, Nicholson, versatile tall James Sellar and hard-nut Luke Tapscott have been named on the interchange.

Ball-winner Jordan Gysberts, midfieleder/forward Matthew Bate and Couch are the emergencies.

Nicholson has been sidelined for the past three rounds with a jaw injury, after playing nine matches in a row.

His start to the season was interrupted with a foot injury, when he missed the opening two rounds.

The second-year rookie has shown some good form this season, impressing with his dash out of defence.

Couch has played three matches in his first AFL-listed season, making his AFL debut in round 16 against Fremantle.

Bate has played 12 matches this season, with his most recent appearance against St Kilda in round 20.

Gysberts has featured just once this season - Melbourne’s win over Gold Coast Suns in round 19 - after he missed eight of the opening 10 rounds (four with an ankle problem and four with a broken jaw).

It will be a big day for the Demons, as club great Brad Green plays his last match - his 254th - and defender James Frawley reaches the ton.
