SIX-time Melbourne premiership coach Norm Smith is to be honoured with a statue at the MCG. Smith will follow spin king Shane Warne as the second of five statues to be erected in Yarra Park.

Gysberts turns heads again

MELBOURNE midfielder Jordan Gysberts has snared his second AFL Rising Star nomination. The 19-year-old produced an outstanding performance in last Friday night's round-11 game against Essendon at the MCG. He gathered 30 possessions and added four tackles and eight marks.
