MELBOURNE has made four changes, including three omissions, for Saturday’s clash against West Coast Eagles at Patersons Stadium.

On the back of Melbourne’s disappointing opening round 41-point loss to Brisbane Lions at the MCG, coach Mark Neeld’s promise of change has occurred.

The Demons have brought in the dynamic Ricky Petterd, new recruit James Sellar, key forward Lynden Dunn and renowned speedster, Jamie Bennell.

But the Dees have lost reigning Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott Memorial Trophy winner Brent Moloney with a groin injury.

Former vice-captain Aaron Davey, along with youngsters Sam Blease and Josh Tynan, has been left out of the side.

Davey, Tynan and emerging tall Tom McDonald are the emergencies.

Petterd returns after missing round one with a leg injury.

The 23 year-old was very close to playing in the season opener, but was not risked by the match committee.

Sellar was drafted by Melbourne with its third and final pick in last year’s NAB AFL Draft. He was No. 54 overall. Originally a first round selection in 2006 (No. 14 overall), Sellar played 21 matches with Adelaide from 2007-11.

He impressed in the NAB Cup, particularly against Collingwood, playing in a defensive post.

Dunn, who was a round one emergency, kicked three goals for Casey last Saturday. It was an impressive performance, considering he didn’t play until the second term onwards. Dunn had been an emergency for Melbourne at the MCG, before he was driven across town to Coburg for the VFL match.

Bennell has come into the side after proving impressive down back for the Scorpions last round.
