Green’s nomination came after he took an outstanding contested mark inside 50, leaping in between Essendon duo Michael Hurley and Andrew Welsh.
His grab was one of several highlights in a best-on-ground performance, which included five goals last Sunday at the MCG.
The versatile Dee also finished with 27 disposals (including 11 contested possessions), nine marks and seven inside 50s.
Green is up against Richmond’s forward Jack Riewoldt and Lion youngster Aaron Cornelius.
