IN WHAT was bigger than the introduction of the toy Slinky back in 1940, Melbourne rookie Michael Evans was introduced to the Dream Team world last weekend and didn’t disappoint.

From 72 per cent ground time against the Saints, the young rookie worked hard for a return of 112 Dream team points - the highest of any Demon in round nine.

Evans has held his place in the Dees side, and if he continues to impress, he could be a potential cash cow to trade in to your side before his value sky rockets.

After notching up the highest individual score of his career against the Kangaroos in round eight, it didn’t take Stefan Martin long to better his effort with 110 points against the Saints.

In an indication of the fantastic year Martin has had to date, he has climbed from $127,000 to $272,300 and with a breakeven of only four, he is sure to rise beyond $300,000 over the next few weeks.

Another Demon to reach a personal best this season, Jack Watts, had one of his best Dream Team games on the weekend, scoring 104 points, which saw him reach three figures for the first time in his career.

No doubt there will be many more of these games to come.

As a whole, the Dees have had a good year in the Dream Team world, ranking seventh in the league for DT average points scored per game in 2011 (1569 points per game).

This week, keep an eye out for the talented Daniel Nicholson, who has been elevated from Melbourne’s rookie list and will play his first game against the Blues this week.

Nicholson is listed as a midfielder/defender in Dream Team and is valued at $104,400.
