Rawlings joins Demons team
By Al Paton
FORMER Richmond caretaker coach Jade Rawlings will be in charge of Melbourne's young backline next season. Rawlings will work with new Demons coach Mark Neeld after two years as an assistant to Michael Voss at Brisbane. The former Hawthorn, North Melbourne and Bulldogs player, who coached the Tigers for the last 11 games of the 2009 season, has signed a three-year deal. "It’s very exciting to be involved with Melbourne. I’ve really enjoyed my dealings with Mark Neeld and the other staff at the football club. The enthusiasm and professionalism at Melbourne is something that has really caught my attention, so I was very keen to get involved”, Rawlings said. Neeld said it was great to have Rawlings as part of his team "from day one".
