In a lively couple of hours on Thursday night, Melbourne Football Club players, directors and staff banded together for a common goal - reaching the dream target of 40,000 members for 2012.

The membership telethon was taken on eagerly, with a total of 338 members signing up on the night.  This was a fantastic result, taking our membership tally to over 33,600.

Calls also went out thick and fast to members from 2011 who had not yet renewed.  The stars at selling were Jack Trengove, who signed up fifteen members, while Aaron Davey was not far behind, with fourteen.  Staff standouts were Ellie McKenzie and Craig Lees, who registered twenty members each on the night.

With over 5500 people to call, we naturally did not reach all prospective members, but we still need everyone possible to become a Hardcore Demon in 2012.

So, call us, jump online to renew or come to our marquees for Sunday’s game and sign up.  Don’t forget to arrive early for the Jim Stynes Tribute Game, and be there as one of 40,000 in 2012.
