Demons still riding a fickle roller-coaster
By Martin Boulton

ANY added pressure St Kilda coach Ross Lyon might be feeling about today's game against Melbourne is no concern to the man in charge at the Demons. Dean Bailey said the only pressure he was interested in at Docklands was how much and how often his players applied it against the 15th-placed Saints in a bid to force turnovers and kick a winning score. Melbourne could squeeze into the eight this weekend with a win. Bailey said that depended largely on his players being bolder and braver with their ball movement, tackling and building pressure on their opponents - not in fits and starts, but throughout the afternoon. ''We've got a great challenge ahead, but we need to take the game on,'' Bailey said after Melbourne trained yesterday. ''Sitting back and not taking the game on is not a brave or bold way to play the game. ''Both clubs have got a lot to fight for this weekend and the effort that's going to be needed from us during the game has got to be better than what we've shown within this roller-coaster ride at the moment.''
