THE CASEY Scorpions fought out a tough match to defeat the Frankston Dolphins by one point at Casey Fields on Saturday afternoon.

In what was a tight contest for the whole day Frankston kept challenging the Scorpions up until the final siren.

Melbourne-listed player Tom Couch was again instrumental in the midfield finding plenty of the ball with 31 possessions.

Inaccurate kicking didn’t help the scorpions early in the game but Michael Fieldsen kicked an important goal leading into halftime, giving the scorpions an eight point lead.

Ruckman Jack Fitzpatrick worked hard all day winning 23 hit outs, 17 disposals and one goal.

Backman Troy Davis was once again impressive off half-back. Davis worked hard finishing the game with 24 possessions.
