YOUNG-gun Jack Grimes could be a chance to return this weekend, after missing the past five matches with a hamstring injury, but midfielder Brent Moloney will again miss with a quadriceps problem.

Grimes has not played since sustaining the injury against St Kilda in round 14.

He must first past a fitness test, before he is a chance to play against Hawthorn at the MCG on Sunday or resume via Casey against Northern Bullants at Princes Park on Saturday.

Moloney has been sidelined for the past three matches, after copping a corky early in the clash against Fremantle in round 16.

First-year Demon Max Gawn suffered some further bad luck last weekend, when he injured his knee (patellofemoral) against Box Hill Hawks in the VFL reserves last Saturday.

Gawn had played the past three matches for Casey seconds, after coming off a knee reconstruction, which occurred with Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup last year. It was the same knee, but it won’t hinder his reconstruction.

He will now miss the rest of the season, although the injury is not as serious as the one sustained last year.

Midfielder Jordan Gysberts is also now out indefinitely with a back injury.

Big man Stef Martin was booked in for hip surgery this week and will now miss the rest of the season.

Second-year Demon Neville Jetta will also miss the rest of the season, after hurting his shoulder while playing for Casey against Gold Coast last weekend.

Rookie Danny Hughes is a chance to return from an ankle injury, but must pass a fitness test.

Ruckman Jake Spencer is out indefinitely with a back injury.

Forward Ricky Petterd (shoulder) and ruckman John Meesen (foot) are out for 2010.
