ALL-AUSTRALIAN Mark Jamar and defender Colin Garland face fitness tests later in the week to determine if they will play against Richmond at the MCG on Saturday.

Jamar has missed the past six matches with a knee injury, which he injured against Adelaide Crows in round seven.

Garland returned to the side last round, but jarred his ankle in the second half. He was substituted for the versatile Jamie Bennell.

But long-kicking youngster Luke Tapscott is still another week away from returning, due to a hamstring injury.

Dasher Rohan Bail (knee) and midfielder/forward Neville Jetta (hand) will miss another two matches each.

Vice-captain Aaron Davey (knee) is still 4-6 weeks away.

Tall Michael Newton (foot) is out for another four weeks, while big man Jack Fitzpatrick (ankle) remains sidelined for 4-6 matches.

Leader Jack Grimes (foot) and ruckman Jake Spencer (knee) are out for the rest of 2011.
