MELBOURNE has appointed Peter Mercoulia as an assistant coach of the women’s team.
Mercoulia, an assistant coach with Oakleigh Chargers in 2015-16, has an extensive football background.
He has been involved with Glen Iris, Oakleigh Chargers, St Paul’s and Springvale/Casey football clubs.
In his first year as midfield coach with Oakleigh, the Chargers made the preliminary final.
When he was a playing/assistant coach of St Paul’s, he won the club best and fairest in 2013-14 and played in its 2011 and 2013 premierships.
