MELBOURNE has elevated rookie Neville Jetta to the senior list.
The hard-at-it utlilty has replaced Jack Trengove, who is now on the long-term injury list, after scans revealed a crack in his navicular bone earlier in the week.
Trengove will now miss the rest of the season, due to the injury to his left foot.
Jetta, who has played 41 matches with the Demons, was originally drafted at No.51 in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft.
He was delisted at the end of last season, but redrafted via last November’s NAB AFL Rookie Draft (No.50 overall).
Jetta has battled several injuries throughout his career, but has started the 2014 season in strong form at Casey in the VFL, which has earned his promotion.
He is the second rookie to be elevated onto the senior list, with defender Alex Georgiou upgraded for Mitch Clark, who has now retired.
Georgiou has played all four matches for Melbourne this season.
