MELBOURNE will be honouring the late Tony Bull and Tony Anderson on Saturday, wearing black armbands in its Round 2 clash with Carlton.
Bull, who sadly lost his battle with illness late last year, was a valuable contributor to the club across a 28-year period.
Playing 31 games for the Demons from 1953 to 1957, Bull later moved into the role of Under 19s coach, before becoming a recruiting officer and a specialist coach.
He was awarded Life Membership of the club in 1981.
Anderson was also a treasured part of the Melbourne family, with a seven-year career and Premiership to his name.
A member of the 1964 premiership team, he played 75 games for the club between 1963 and 1969, and was an important part of its defensive structure.
Anderson passed away in April, aged 78.
