THE MELBOURNE Football Club is proud to announce a new partnership with global energy drink brand Red Bull.
Red Bull’s product has been used throughout the pre-season to assist with performance, as part of a structured nutrition and exercise schedule.
Melbourne’s Performance Manager Darren Burgess has integrated Red Bull’s product whilst at other sporting organisations and has seen the functional benefit of Red Bull when used as part of a holistic performance program.
“Across a number of my previous clubs, we used Red Bull as part of our match day and high-performance programs,” Burgess said.
“I believe Red Bull can provide our players with the ability to sustain energy throughout both training and, crucially, matches.
“Red Bull are world renowned innovators in the performance space and the performance team at Melbourne are really looking forward to working with Red Bull to provide our playing group with every possible advantage to improve performance.
“It’s a product I trust and when coming to the Dees, I wanted to introduce as part our program mix.”
Red Bull has alignments with elite athletes all over the world as well as across sports such as triathlon, surfing, soccer, basketball and motor racing.
Melbourne CEO Gary Pert shared Burgess’ excitement in welcoming Red Bull to the club in season 2020.
“When speaking to Darren and his team, it was evident he believes in the product’s benefits as part of our performance needs,” Pert said.
“We’re excited to not only welcome Red Bull to the Demons but to also be a part of the wider Red Bull collegian of athletes.”
