MELBOURNE will take on the GWS GIANTS this Saturday in Week One of the NAB AFL Women’s Finals Series.
The Demons will travel to GIANTS Stadium for a 2.40pm clash, in what will be their first shot at a finals campaign.
The fixture comes following the AFL’s announcement on Wednesday that the remaining two rounds of the competition would be scrapped, amidst the concerns surrounding COVID-19.
With the top four sides of each conference qualifying for the revamped format, Melbourne will be among GWS, North Melbourne, Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast Suns (Conference A), as well as Fremantle, Carlton and Collingwood (Conference B).

The winning teams in Week One will progress to the Preliminary Finals, to be held the following weekend. The Grand Final will then be played on the weekend of April 4-5.
In line with previous restrictions, all matches will be closed to the public, but can be watched on the Seven Network and FOX Sports.
