DEFENDER Mitch White has been upgraded from the rookie to primary list in the lead-up to round 16 and has been named in the side for Saturday night’s clash against Fremantle at TIO Stadium.
White, who made his AFL debut in the final round of 2015, has yet to play a match in the AFL this season.
However, he has been a highly consistent performer for Casey this year.
The 20-year-old will fly up as part of Melbourne’s 22 for its trip to Darwin.
He impressed in his only AFL match against Greater Western Sydney at Etihad Stadium in round 23 last year, notching up 16 disposals.
Originally from Seaford/St Peter’s College/Dandenong Stingrays, White was selected at No.20 in the 2015 NAB AFL Rookie Draft (held in late 2014).
