On Tuesday, the Melbourne Football Club continued its strong relationship with the VWFL, as around 20 local female footballers were put through their paces on Tuesday during a youth training session at Casey Fields.

In an hour and a half session, the girls were trained by Demons’ pair Ricky Petterd and Brad Miller, focusing on skills, games, and with the boys providing a insight in to life as a AFL footballer.

The girls also had the opportunity, along with corporate visitors, to tour the newly opened training facilities at Casey Fields under the guidance of Melbourne’s GM Football, Chris Connolly.

All players from Hallam Junior FC, Noble Park FC and Narre Warren Youth FC were extremely enthusiastic, and trained hard, making the evening enjoyable for all.
