MELBOURNE players Max Gawn and Sam Frost returned to where it all began, when they attended the 2015 South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) season launch on Wednesday night.
Gawn and Frost, who both played for SMJFL club Ormond as junior footballers, participated in a Q&A session as part of the night.
Currently the club’s ambassador for the SMJFL, Gawn has maintained a close connection with the league beyond his junior football days.
In 2014, he became a coach of one of Ormond’s under 16 teams, and will continue in the role in 2015.
The Melbourne Football Club is a proud partner of the SMJFL.
Throughout 2015, players will be visiting SMJFL clubs as part of the Melbourne’s work to re-engage with junior football clubs and Auskick centres in its traditional heartland.
