MIDFIELDER Dom Tyson says this Sunday’s clash against the Brisbane Lions at the MCG will be a fierce battle between two sides desperate to register a win.
With the Demons recording only four victories so far this season, and the Lions sitting on the bottom of the ladder with just two wins, Tyson said it was a great opportunity for two sides in a similar position to add four points to their tally.
“It’s going to be a hot game,” he told Dee TV.
“They’ve got some players, who are in pretty good form, but we’ve got to bring that intensity and effort around the contest.
“We’ve done that at times this year, but it’s still been a bit inconsistent.”
Tyson said this week’s review of its nine-point loss to Essendon at the MCG last Saturday showed some frustrating trends that the Demons were eager to rectify.
“We looked at an hour worth of clips and some pretty solid themes [emerged],” he said.
“We were inconsistent at the contest, which didn’t really help our forward entries and a few defensive decisions could’ve been made a bit quicker, which influenced [the opposition’s] ball movement.
“It’s pretty clear that we’ve got to rebound heading into Brisbane on Sunday.”
