NATHAN Jones says the players feel privileged to be part of the Breast Cancer Network Australia ‘Pink Lady’ match this round.

Jones said the Pink Lady match – between Melbourne and the Sydney Swans at the MCG on Saturday night – was an important cause and one the Demons were “really excited” to be involved in again.

He said it was a great opportunity to promote the work that the BCNA does and recognise the ordinary and extraordinary work that mothers do.

“I’m sure my Mum’s really excited and I’m sure all of the players’ mums are [delighted] to be acknowledged on the night,” he said.

“Our club embraces the pink pretty well with our socks and jumper.”

Jones said his mum had supported him “through thick and thin”.

“[She’s] been right involved since day one at under-6 with Vickick (now Auskick) for me, so I’m really excited,” he said.

“The game is a great opportunity for our footy club.”
