Fellow axed Lion Trent West booted two goals from his nine disposals.

Forward Liam Jones slotted two majors and collected 18 touches to put his hand up for a final round recall for Carlton as the Northern Blues' tough season came to an end in an 81-point belting.

Running defender Adam Oxley pressed his case for a round 23 recall as the Magpies prevailed by eight points over Port Melbourne at a wet Victoria Park.

Patrick Karnezis registered an equal game-high two goals.

Athletic first-year player Kyle Langford collected a team-high 24 disposals through the midfield, with eight marks, six clearances and a goal as the Bombers secured a 17-point victory.
"When (Langford) gets the ball he's got a great awareness of what's around him and he always makes really good decisions," Bombers coach Mark Corrigan told the club's website.
Jason Ashby also found plenty of the football, defender Ariel Steinberg held Liam McBean to two goals and Kyle Hardingham slotted three majors.

Omitted forward Hayden Crozier was held goalless and had 18 disposals

North Melbourne will be sweating on Daniel Wells' fitness after the star onballer limped off with a calf injury in a 29-point win over Coburg.
Wells had eight disposals in the first quarter, but his day was done before three-quarter time and he had ice strapped to the back of his left leg at the final change.
The electric midfielder has been edging closer to a senior return after being sidelined for the Roos since round two due to an Achilles injury.
Midfielder Trent Dumont (24 touches, nine clearances) and defender Joel Tippett (23 touches) were among the Roos' better-performed players.
The game marked the end of North's partnership with North Ballarat as the club prepares to enter a full alignment with Werribee from next season.
It was also coach Gerard FitzGerald's final match in charge of the Roosters.
