MELBOURNE has redrafted midfielder Viv Michie with its final ‘live’ pick at No.24 in Friday’s NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
Michie was delisted when the second list lodgement was announced in November, but he has since continued training with the club.
He has played 18 AFL matches, including 17 with Melbourne from 2014-15, after his one appearance with Fremantle in 2013.
Michie played the final seven matches of the 2015 season and averaged 20.5 disposals in his final four games of the season.
Meanwhile, Melbourne also officially drafted Joel Smith – the son of former Kangaroo and Demon Shaun Smith – with pick No.41.
Smith, who was snapped up by the red and blue in October, was claimed as a three-year non-registered player.
