Speaking on melbournefc.com.au’s Tuesday review/preview, Bartram said the team is desperate to bounce back, after a dismal 45-point loss to Hawthorn last round.
“This is just the perfect opportunity for us,” he said.
“It’s our backs against the wall … and nothing to lose.”
Bartram said Melbourne’s ball movement had been a big focus on the back of its round two review.
“Our back transition coming out wasn’t great, purely because of Hawthorn’s pressure, but also because of our skill errors and our failure to set up our structures,” he said.
“The good thing is that they’re easy to rectify.
“This week is another week and we’re all looking forward to getting back out there and showing our supporters the sort of football we enjoy playing.”
